Review VITALUMIÈRE AQUA Foundation

Chanel came up with an ultralight make-up solution; the Chanel Skin Perfecting Make-up line.

This little simple plastic pot contains magic drops of ultra-light foundation.

Normally I tend to mix my foundation with my hydrating day-care creme to get a lighter texture, but with this ‘Skin Perfecting Foundation‘ I don’t feel this need.

Because of its water-light-texture the foundation is very easy to apply. Therefore I can even apply it with my eyes shut and still get a smashing result. Perfect for those early mornings.

What I love about this foundation, is that it leaves my skin fresh, yet mat, covering up the redness I tend to have in my face. The foundation lasts about 6 hours perfectly (on my skin) without retouching. After that I need to touch it up once every now and then with some transparent powder.

I wouldn’t recommend this foundation to women with a problem or very mature skin. It seems to be better adapted for women who already have quite a vital skin themselves, and who need to just give that extra touch.

The foundation comes in 10 shades to match different skin undertones. Me, I use number 10; Beige.

Good to know is that this formula is endowed with SPF 15, dermatologist-tested, oil-free and non-comedogenic (meaning it will not clog pores).

Beauty comes with its price though. A little bottle (containing 30 ml/ 1 FL OZ) will cost you about 40 euro’s.

Quite expensive, I’d say. So, it might be a good idea to ask for a sample, or try the make-up in one of your favorite warehouses.  Just to see if this product adapts to and lasts on your skin as it does to mine.

I would like to conclude with a little side note a got from the Chanel make-up team, which is that; 1) you must always remember to shake the product well to get the right emulsion and 2) (over time) the foundation might seem (dry up) a bit darker. This is due to a normal oxidation process.
